The Beach
Golden sand beach, which is inserted in the cove delimited by Ponta de Sagres and Cabo de S. Vicente.
From the beach you can see Ponta de Sagres, with its steep cliffs, and the Fortress of Sagres, a 19th century construction. XVI, with a chapel of the century. XIV inside, where the tomb of S. Vicente is said to be.
Pedestrian access to the beach is via a wide ramp carved into the cliff, where you can see very marked ravines, carved by the water runoff.
It has a tarmac road access from Sagres, following about 500m towards the Fortress of Sagres.
