The Beach
It is a very quiet beach with a cove sheltered from the northern winds.
The landscape is dominated by a sandy beach, several small beaches, granite outcrops and the Paçô Fort classified as a Public Interest Property since January 24, 1967.
On the primary dune north of the Fort, we find a cluster of granite buildings “traditional sea houses” or “fishing gear”, old boat shelters and tools for catching sargass. Câmara Municipal de Viana do Castelo
